Our Simply2Love (S2L) journey began in 2011 on a medical mission trip to Nairobi, Kenya. While on the trip, we became acutely aware of the lack of available medical care to the majority of the poor living in a slum called Kawangware. Especially obvious to us was how helpless their situation was once the sun went down and all the small medical clinics had closed. God's word tells us to love one another, just as He loves us. His word also tells us to care for the orphans and widows who are especially in need. This led us to start Simply 2 Love, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization. We decided that our first and primary project should be to build a medical clinic that would be operational at night in the slum of Kawangware.

 

Our plans don't end there. We are identifying and meeting the needs of the local street children in Nairobi. There are an approximated 60,000 children living on the streets. We are working with local Nairobi organizations to assist in preventing and fighting this growing problem, and providing these street children with food, clothing, medical care, and -- most importantly -- the knowledge that they are loved by God.

 

Though our mission started in Kenya, we are not limiting our work to Kenya alone. There is need all over the world and here at home. S2L passionately wants to help meet those needs. We are committed to empowering people who find themselves in rough circumstances and environments. As we grow as an organization, we will keep our hearts and eyes open to new opportunities to share the love, grace, and power that our savior, Jesus Christ, has shown us.
