Kawangware July 2017 Mission Trip

Mission accomplished! Our S2L team had a highly successful trip to the Kawangware slum in Nairobi, the last 2 weeks of July.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Meeting with Architect on Medical Clinic Construction...
Visits at Clinic and Hospital
Drilling of borehole at Chosen Children of Promise (CCP)
Chosen Children of Promise Board Meeting
Full day first aid/CPR training

Full day medical camp for 528 people ( included 44 Dental cases, 46 counseling/testing for HIV+, 19 cancer screenings and PAP smears, and 38 first time decisions for Christ!).

Educational sessions for athlete's foot, dental hygiene, drug abuse, challenges for disclosure of HIV+ status, puberty and hand made sanitary pads, sexual integrity and purity, early childhood Illnesses, and tuberculosis

​

Special outings for 30 super Juniors which included swimming lessons, American baseball lessons, and shopping with Sponsored Kids, and a well-earned Staff Appreciation Party.
